The concert that rocked Araneta on August 17 proved once again that not all gigs are just for fun – some actually play for a purpose.

With roughly 20,000 youngsters and young-at-hearts, the benefit concert dubbed ‘YCONCON: Isang Araw Lang, The Sequel’ thrilled music fans as bands and solo performers, pumped out the energy for one loud yet good-driven night of music.

The concert’s exclusive guest, Bro. Eli Soriano, Presiding Minister of the Members Church of God International (MCGI) and host of the phenomenal Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) program on TV and web, thanked all who have supported the concert via live video streaming for the benefit ‘Free College Project’ which he, together with Kuya Daniel, had initiated. This project sprung out of his desire to help those who cannot find profitable employment effected by lack of a college degree.

Bro. Soriano believes that if the youth will be given an opportunity to hone their skills through education, they can be assets, not liabilities to the country.

The new and the only free college project was primarily financed by Bro. Eli Soriano and Kuya Daniel Razon, costing them around P35-m already just to commence its construction. Thankfully, the event was such a huge success that the La Verdad Christian College will finally be completed. The College is open to any person willing to be productive, religion out of question.

Bro. Eli promises with God’s help to continue supporting any project that will benefit especially the underprivileged sectors of the society, how humble and oppressed his state may be.
